LIMA
Least intrusive and minimally aversive and
Do NO Harm
Equipment:
Only humane dog training
equipment used. Examples: Gentle Leaders, Haltis,
Sense-ation Harness, Easy Walk Harness, flat buckle collars
and other body harnesses
(such as for small dogs). No "training" equipment
that applies pain or discomfort will be used.
Biases
Daphne has strong training
biases. This influences the reading, studying and animal
learning conferences she attends. The first bias relies on the
science of how animals learn and for that matter how we learn
new information. The second part of her bias is that training
should not require you to hurt, harm or be cruel to your dog.
The third bias requires a continual
education to keep up to date on the art and
science of animal training. She does not support
"alpha-dominance theory".
