This is a special service for busy families, people with disabilities or for those that need a break and get the well-behaved dog you wish for. We'll get it done for you. The trainer works directly with your dog - just like in our board and train service but less expensive and you are more involved the outcome of your dog's behavior. You hire a professional to get a job done - we have the expertise.
What's involved in a Jump Start Program?
The trainer will work with your dog one-on-one in the environments specific to your goals and will proof the behavior along the way. Weekly transfer sessions are necessary so that you learn how to support your dog's learning and improve success. Follow-up sessions are also part of the program to further improve success.
What behaviors can be worked on?
Jump Start can focus on many training challenges such as:
-
basic to advanced obedience
-
puppy socialization and manners
-
hyper-dogs
-
Leave-it
-
Go to 'place'
-
Door manners
-
Leash manners
-
counter surfing
-
on-leash aggression towards other dogs
-
fearful/anxious dogs
We will either work with your dog in your home or take your dog to the places where he/she needs help while you are at work.
Each Jump Start program includes 3 days of training with your dog plus one transfer session with you per week. Each training session is 1hr. Then two follow up sessions at the completion of the program.
Initial Consultation: $65/hr
This is a mandatory requirement before staring a Jump Start Program. We need to conduct a behavior history with you and understand what your goals are and to determine if your dog will respond to our trainer. Some dogs shut-down with strangers. You will get immediate solutions to start you on the right path to a happy home.
